Tales of March

Our two month mission trip to the Philippines ended in late March. We left part of our hearts behind. One evening during the final week I was able to observe the crescent moon as it was setting above the local village near Cabuyao in the province of Laguna. Most nights we are busy with people on the observing deck, but this was a rare quiet evening. A gracious friend from Cloudy Nights sold me two older binoculars which I sent to PI as part of the staff kit about a year ago. So I had the pleasure to grab one of them (the 8×50 Pentax) to make this quick sketch a little after sunset. Hope you enjoy it.

And, if you follow the link (http://christworksministries.org/2013WinterReport) you can see a full report of our trip and how it is going to affect our future. There are plenty of pictures and explanations. We have so much work to do but we learned a long time ago that a walk in faith is just that: you don’t see everything or how details will work out. We just put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward. The “Lord of the heavens” is able to keep us in the path of His choice.
