Spring Morning Delight: Sunrise Moon

Galaxies were the target the night before. It was a hurry-get-to-bed after the equipment was prepped for the next morning so I could get a few hours sleep. The forecast was good for the early morning; observing the moon around sunrise was the plan. Observing during daylight is incongruent for most observers but I recommend it. The air is typically still; children in school or in home school are awake, alert, and ready to learn. Spring mornings, in particular, are full of colors and smells.

I was not disappointed. The 3/4 moon was in clear atmosphere at sunrise. The air was still. After a lunar surface search I found this little crater set near the Crater Clavius…and settled down to study and sketch it. Devotions at this time of day and during observation of a part of creation are easily done together. One can talk to Him and draw what He shows you at the same time. The scripture from Revelation was fitting so it is in the sketch.
