Setting Spring Crescent

Spring in most lattitudes perks up the spirit of people. New life and beauty abound. There are visible reminders that new starts and new beginnings are possible. God even mentions the season and the early rains in the Scripture. He records the call of love in the same season from the “beloved” to the bride in Song of Solomon (2:10-12).

The combination of Spring and the setting crescent moon go deeper in God’s wisdom: they mark the passage of time, the passage of seasons, and His promise that they will endure as long as the earth endures.

Why?

He calls people like the Beloved calls His bride–not willing that any of us should perish. So, He is patient while circumstances work through short lives, giving us time to respond. The Spring is so beautiful but it passes. For some, it will be the last Spring they will ever see. For others, they may have a few more to witness. For all, however, it is a reminder of His patience to permit people to reach out to Him that they might be redeemed.

So God’s perfect clock continues marking the passage of days, months, and years. Christ’s love awaits decisions by faith to turn from useless ways and embrace Him. The ‘Spring’ that follows in the heart of a person does not end.

  1. Our “ABOUT” tab at the top of the blog has new information. I realized that I had left this section of the blog blank when this was set up a couple years ago. It contains the ministry web site link, where we have more inspiration stories, pictures, and sketches. Please feel free to investigate and what we are doing.
