Love in Action: Observing Together

We are coming up on December, which reminds me of one time my wife and I observed and sketched together. It often takes a joint purpose and activity for any friendship to grow. Marriage is the same: it deepens when things are purposefully done together. In a sense, observing and appreciating the created heavens is somewhat similar since God judiciously placed them so we could observe what He has done–to appreciate Him in the process of observing. The occasion in 2007 for this sketch together was one such opportunity for us to enjoy each other, but also to enjoy our wonderful Lord’s handiwork. We have enjoyed many times like this. God is not far off from a man’s heart when he will acknowledge the Maker of the things we observe.
