The link below contains a summary report at the midpoint of our two-month mission trip (middle January to March, 2024) to the Philippines. We have been fairly busy, having completed more than 12 events and dozens of visits to our quarters with staff or children. We started at the Institute of Foundational Learning in Laguna in middle January but have been with Hallel Ministries near Iloilo for a week.

20240214 Mid Mission Trip Report
Because we have made trips over the years, we have had the benefit of observing children grow as they meet and overcome obstacles or past history. The value of establishing relationships with those we serve has been a significant factor in seeing the changes in a number of young adults. The young lady in the image is one of those. With an early history of disaster and neglect, she is now the head of her class government and has made an internal determination to finish high school, although much older than her classmates. Without Christ in the process, including the influence of God-fearing staff and a little from us, she would most probably be in another world with no future, no hope, and no God to assist her. There are many more like her. We love them.
