The juxtaposition of good and bad things together causes a real tension in most people. However, the widespread news of a disaster (like the F5 tornado in Moore Oklahoma) and something totally wonderful bring the question home. My wife and I are very familiar with walking through both extremely good and extremely harsh circumstances. We talk to children, teachers, and many others about the same thing. How do you reconcile what is happening in the world? It ain’t all good. And not paying attention to what is happening is not an answer or a solution. However, the very cradle of our faith enables us or a believer on the streets of Moore to walk forward in life as well as have a solid answer.
This issue was brought home as I sketched two lunar craters on an evening that was, by all definition, sublime. But I could stop thinking about Moore. So, the link takes you to the story and the sketch from last night:
