Big Questions from Little People – An Introduction.
My wife and I frequently get questions from children on mission trips. Sometimes I ask them to give me their biggest questions by way of their teachers or adult leaders. It is surprising how many questions are big-picture issues that can be answered from a biblical world view, which includes where they came from, who made them, what happened to God’s creation because of sin, and what solution He has provided. Their questions often tell us that they are not getting clear answers in a manner and frequency that makes practical sense. Sometimes they are curious but afraid to ask. Sometimes bad things happen, and they are bothered when they are affected. So, this series comprises a few scenes where the questions and answers were given.
Why are the questions from young people so important? The answer for me came from a command from the Holy Spirit. He said, “Listen to the children.” Because we are older, the ages of “children” have taken on a more biblical view, so some are quite young, but the same questions are as likely from older seekers or very young believers at older ages.
Because we are in an age where most people only hear only one world view (naturalism or evolution), the biblical answers are sometimes surprising. Many times, we have heard this statement, “I’ve never heard that before!”
