Thanksgiving to our Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, is always appropriate.
I woke at sunrise and quietly walked to a back window. The morning sun flamed the little dogwood’s turning leaves. It’s normal Autumn color is a dark ruddy red that does not stand out. The frost in the foreground, the brown leaves of trees at the base of Little Yellow Mountain, and the still morning still made a scene by themselves with the little tree, but the early morning sunlight changed everything. The little tree became the centerpiece.
So it is with the touch of God on the life of a disciple of Christ. The Son makes all things different and puts the life in a different light. God says He is light to us if we let Him shine, change our wayward hearts, and follow Him.
Do so.
Psalm 75:1 We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.
